Project 52—Week #11
Lanikai Pillbox Hike!
We finally made it out to the pillboxes! It was a nice easy hike, although I must admit I spent the whole time worrying about missing a birth. Brian can attest to this: I was up and down in no time! And, the baby wasn't born til about 6 days later. Ha. An important part about being a birth photographer is being available at any given point to rush to the hospital and capture those moments!
This really was a gorgeous hike, and as you can see we had perfect weather. This is a really great hike to do if you a) want some exercise, but don't want to be dead afterward. b) have a little bit of extra time on your hands. c) are wanting some stunning views of the east side!
Also this week, Brian has been cooking lots of things :) He surprised me with lobster (who is this guy I married?) which was delicious and I was so impressed. In this photo, he was using the leftover meat from the lobster claws to make lobster bisque (!?!?!!). Have I mentioned my love for soup? Lol. You can't really tell what he's making, but you CAN see that as usual, Ginger was underfoot and hoping to get fed :)
And, last but not least, a sea turtle video :D There were about 12 that all decided to wake up and leave at the same time. I just so happened to be there!
Have a great week everyone! And head on over to Sharleen's blog to see what she's been up to this week!
