Project 52—Week #4 | Ka'au Crater

We had such a FUN eventful week here at the DeCicco household! Brian had a 4 day weekend, so we made the most of it :)

We hiked Ka'au crater, hands down our FAVORITE hike on the island thus far! (Although, I do feel like we say that about every hike). 

It took us about 6.5 hours to the top of the crater. Full of waterfalls and amazing views of the South and East sides of the island, definitely one we'll be doing again!

Our hike haul :) We met a kind man on our trail, and he gave us the heliconia plant. There we also lots of very ripe mountain apples along the trail! We picked a few for breakfast...

...breakfast! Mountain apples taste like Christmas, lol! We made oatmeal with them, and Mmm, it was SO GOOD!
