Above the Treetops No. 7
19" x 24" – Cyanotype on Paper
Created under the shifting Florida sky, Above the Treetops No. 7 captures a fleeting dance between nature and sky. This one-of-a-kind cyanotype was made in my home studio in Niceville, FL, using a digital negative of palm trees in Destin set against towering, dramatic clouds.
The final image—ethereal and richly toned in deep indigo—was shaped by the elements themselves. From full sun to overcast skies, even a passing breeze left its mark on the exposure, making this piece entirely unique. Part of my ongoing exploration with alternative photography, this artwork is both a study in nature and an expression of the unpredictable beauty of the cyanotype process.
