Brian and I applied for and were recently selected to go to a Navy operated marriage retreat called CREDO which included a two-night stay at Waikiki for free! It was such a nice weekend. We learned some new communication tools and had fun talking about and reliving some of our favorite parts of our first year of marriage.
Funny story though, I ended up leaving one of the nights to photograph a beautiful birth—10pm-5am! I was pretty groggy the rest of the retreat, but the retreat format was relaxing and I was able to cat-nap a bit between sessions. Brian was writing me love letter in the photo above <3. I took that photo promptly before I napped away our lunch hour, lol! I love the lighting, the composition and over all feel of this photograph.
